Fast forward, after they passed, and I stepped out of the family caregiver role, I’ve been obsessive for years with finding the healthiest and safest way to age without adult children or a spouse to look out for me.
Over the years, I read books, researched housing, transportation, health, and financial sites to ensure my own aging well plan. And now, I want to share with you what I've learned.
However what works for me may not work for you. So, the information and other resources I offer will be mostly around the strategies I use to overcome the fears of growing older with shrinking and/no support at all.

I launched the group to find others like me, aging alone without nearby family and support.
It started with three members: 2 friends and me.
Pretty soon the 3 member group ballooned to 1,000 and all of a sudden I was hit with media calls from large publications wanting to learn about this hidden segment.
We now have 10,000 members.
Plus, we are very resourceful.
